Race to Nowhere

My sister sent me an email about this film called "Race to Nowhere". It is a documentary about the current educational "environment" that pushes kids to push themselves to sometimes extreme lengths to get the "grade". It discusses the fact that many kids are making themselves sick over trying to take as many AP classes as they can and to get the best possible grades they can.  It sheds light on burnt out teachers, students and parents and the toll it is taking on our society. It is again, something I think worth watching as it raises interesting ideas and asks us to look at the entire situation in a different way.

The goal of the film is to "mobilize families, educators and policy makers to challenge current assumptions on how best to prepare the youth of America to become healthy, bright, contributing and leading citizens.
